We learn from failures more, than from successes. Recently I made an “admin” or possibles pouch, which supposed to be brilliant, but ended ahem barely capable.
My initial idea was to construct a narrow and thin pouch, fitting the upper staps on front of plate carrier, or any confined surface.
Just on that week i see (here at Loaded Pockets review), that my concept Beaver tail / transporter tail – back pack upgrade already exists and marketed by Mystery Ranch as “Stick-It” and by OV Innovations as Cache (review). I can’t believe it.
So, here’s the lesson – be aware of market innovations and do not live under the rock.
P.S. New job, too little time to sew, post and even read.
It’s very easy to add transport flap to pack – just sew two attachment points on the bottom and clip the flap. But there is a method to make it without modding pack. A special flap is needed though. And pack with PALs on lower front. And some patience.
