Sorry for long lack of posts, I’m still here and even reading the blogroll.
I’ve seen at least two commercial solutions which put velcro surface over the PALs surface. Can’t believe it could happen.
To make a single-cell wide three inches height velcro attachment point we need:
- strip of loop velcro 6 (six) inches long and 1 (one) inch wide;
- strip of hook velcro 3 (three) inches long and 1 (one) inch wide;
- strip of paper about 4 inches long and about 1.25 inches wide.
Slip a hook strip under the PALs, slip a piece of paper over it, put a loop strip over the PALs and slip its ends under the PALs over the paper. Pull out the paper. Ha! Kiss your PALs goodbye, you’ll never get them back again, velcro will stay forever on them. Though, narrow knife or ruler can help, but it is questionably.
